Lil Chuckee ft. Jaycee Payaso -- My City

Wow this cat showed more love to New Orleans in this song than Weezy has since he said, "The Y is for Yes Ya'll, yes yes my brotha.."

K Gates, Partners N Crime, Skip, Big Cheez, B. G., and Bid Freadia made it into the video and even some random Tulane University student by the Boot!

Freedom Land Project: Day 1

If you aren't already familiar, 2-Cent Ent is in the process of making the second edition of their Freedom Land project. The first edition came out a year or two after Hurricane Katrina. Which of course happened 5 years ago yesterday. This edition looks to be something special with Mannie Fresh and other notables lending their creative juices to the project.

This is the original featuring DJ Raj Smooth and DJ Zella on the beat, and most of New Orleans best up and coming rappers of the time.

New Music from Kidd Kidd On It's Way!

Sup Blanco, Kidd Kidd, and Yung Yo on the set of Supa Blanco's video shoot.

For the Nutt Da Kidd fans out there, he will be dropping a brand new mixtape soon, called "K-Ville". As most of you know, today is the 5 Year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, and the "K-Ville" mixtape will be paying respect to this infamous day. Nutt told me that this mixtape is straight New Orleans, as if we could expect anything different. Ya'll check back in a couple days for the new mixtape, but in the meantime, if you haven't gotten his mixtape "New Laws", he dropped that just 3 months ago, and the player is below.

***NOTE: THE K-VILLE TAPE WILL BE DROPPING SOON. THIS TAPE IS TO TIDE YOU OVER.

Stalley "Babblin" Music Video Shot In New Orleans

Stalley shot this video several months ago in New Orleans, and it includes cameos from Jay Electronica, Curren$y, and Crack Tracks, as well as scenes not only from Bourbon St. but the areas of New Orleans that have still not been rebuilt and are left vacant, finally culminating at a Second Line parade. An interesting video from one of New Orleans' best music video directors.

New Orleans Up and Coming: D.Y.

D.Y. has been around the New Orleans scene, but this video caught my attention because of the intro. It could have been embarrassing, but it turns out to be motivating.
