New Dee-1 Video feat. Mannie Fresh!
If ya'll downloaded @Dee1Music's latest mixtape, I Hope They Hear Me Vol. 2, then you already know this song, but the visuals just dropped a half hour ago! Bmike of 2-Cent Ent shot the video, and Mannie Fresh, who is featured on the song, makes an appearance. New Orleans' own, Dee-1 has been featured on our blog before and has made it through the radio show in the past. Things are looking good for him right now.
Funny thing; Dee actually has a song about his first time meeting Mannie Fresh 5 years ago, and how it did not turn out as he planned.

Kidd Kidd Shooting Update!
New Orleans rapper Kidd Kidd, just released his debut album, The Reallionaire, he has a hot single with @50Cent, lots more in the pipeline but he was shot Friday night in New Orleans, and our friends at @WTULHipHop in New Orleans bring us an update. "As we previously reported, New Orleans rapper and friend of WTUL, Kidd Kidd aka Nutt da Kidd, was attacked and shot six times last Friday night. Details have been sketchy up until this point, but we recently had the privilege of visiting him while he recovered in the hospital.
According to Kidd Kidd, he was sitting in a car outside of his mother’s house in New Orleans East, when two men walked past the car to identify him. Shortly after that one pulled out a gun and started firing into the car. Kidd Kidd (real name Curtis Stewart) was hit six times, but police reported finding 32 shell casings at the scene! It is nothing short of a miracle that he survived, and his fans will be glad to hear that he will be leaving the hospital within a matter of days!
“Wrong place. Wrong time. New Orleans is a jungle. Just watch what vines you swing from.” he said. Kidd is in great spirits and glad to be alive, but clearly greatly disappointed at the senseless violence that is carried out in New Orleans everyday.
When asked about his attitude towards Rap after his shooting, he looked straight into our eyes, and said, “I feel like how Slim said, “God left me alive, so I can blow up in the world. I thank the man every night for takin’ me off that furly girl, It gave me the opportunity to raise my son in my community, Cause now a days niggas got guns and shit, screamin out unity! Motherfuck a nigga blusing me, Thats something I can’t go for, I done signed the contract, Shut the studio door!”“.
When asked if he had a message for his fans he said, “I am alive and well. Be expecting bigger and better things! I’m more focused than ever! It’s time for people to get scared!”

Kidd Kidd (aka Nutt Da Kidd) Shot in New Orleans!
New Orleans Hip Hop artist, Nutt Da Kidd ( @itsKiddKidd ) was shot 4 to 6 times Friday night in front of his mother’s home in New Orleans East, and he is currently in the hospital recovering. Word is he is doing fine, but details are sketchy at this point. This comes just a short time after he released his debut album The Reallionaire, under Sha Money XL's imprint. We can’t believe we came so close to losing ANOTHER New Orleans great! Keep Nutt in your prayers please.
He released this statement via Twitter: "wuzzam man thank yall for keepin me in yall prayers nigga hit me six times but dey aint stoppin nutin bitch ass nigga get ur refund I aint dead"

Gangsta Cash Ft. Magnolia Chop
This track does a good job of encouraging the youth of New Orleans to not get caught up in the street life, as well as pay tribute to some of New Orleans' fallen and incarcerated legends.. It doesn’t feel forced, and the message is right on point. It is even a little emotional to watch the main character’s friends “leave the porch”, when you realize that symbolizes their death in the streets.

Free No Limit Rapper, Mac!
I went to the Louisiana State Prison in Angola today and I ran into former No Limit rapper Mac, aka McKinley Phipps, totally out of coincidence. We talked about his situation, and he was, as everyone knows, a very sweet man. He has been in prison now for 11 years, wrongfully accused of killing a man that he never met! Dee-1 and many others have said it, and I will say it again, FREE MAC!
